Category indices
Rebased, comparable indices per product category, updated as transactions land. Not asking prices — what things actually changed hands for.
In development · 2026
Costlyze turns millions of real transactions in physical goods into category indices, price trends and benchmarks. Built for the people who need to see a market clearly before they commit capital to it.

01 — What Costlyze does
Equities have tickers. Commodities have benchmarks. Second-hand electronics, consumables, industrial spares and surplus stock have nothing — every buyer guesses, every seller guesses, and the spread between them is pure friction.
The transactions exist. They are simply locked inside thousands of individual companies. Costlyze does not ask those companies to hand over their books; it reads the aggregate they collectively produce.
Rebased, comparable indices per product category, updated as transactions land. Not asking prices — what things actually changed hands for.
Direction, momentum and dispersion over time — including how wide the spread is, which is often the more useful number.
Compare a position, a portfolio or a procurement programme against the market rather than against last quarter's assumption.
Programmatic access for teams that want the series inside their own models rather than in a dashboard.
02 — How it works
Costlyze branches from an anonymous signal layer operated by Ventralia. It has no access to any individual company's records — not restricted access, none. That constraint is what makes the underlying data contribution acceptable to the companies producing it.

Analysts and researchers
A defensible series for categories that were previously anecdotal. Cite a number instead of an impression.
Volume buyers and procurement
Know whether a quote is above or below the market before signing, and whether waiting a quarter is likely to help or hurt.
Financial institutions
Value inventory used as collateral against observed transactions rather than against a declared book value.
Insurers and asset managers
Replacement and residual values that track the real market, updated continuously rather than annually.
04 — What we will not do
We will never sell, expose or reconstruct what any individual business bought or sold. The architecture makes it impossible, not merely prohibited.
A category publishes only once enough independent contributors are in it. A thin index is worse than no index, because someone will trade on it.
Every series ships with its sample size and how it was constructed. If we cannot show the working, we do not publish the number.
05 — Early access
We are choosing which categories to cover first, and the deciding factor is who is waiting for them. Leave your address and the category you care about — that is genuinely how the order gets set.
No newsletter, no marketing sequence. One message when your category goes live.
